As a locally owned and operated agency, we provide personalized attention and exceptional customer service to ensure you and your loved ones are protected.
Health Insurance for Individuals & Families

Affordable Options for Life's Transitions
If you’re between jobs, self-employed, or simply shopping for a better plan, individual and family health insurance can provide essential protection. We help our clients explore both Marketplace (ACA) plans and private alternatives to find coverage that fits your budget and includes the doctors and hospitals you trust. Whether you're near Erlanger in downtown Chattanooga or living in Cleveland or East Ridge, we'll make sure your providers are in-network.
ACA Plans vs. Private Plans
We help you compare government-subsidized ACA plans—which cover essential benefits and protect against pre-existing condition exclusions—with off-market private plans that may offer different structures. If you're eligible for a tax credit, an ACA Marketplace plan can significantly reduce your monthly premium.
Enrollment Periods and Special Qualifying Events
Open Enrollment for Marketplace health plans in Tennessee, and most other states, typically runs from November 1 to January 15. Outside of that, we’ll help determine if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period due to life changes such as job loss, divorce, or aging out of a parent’s plan.
Choosing a Plan That Works for You
We'll walk you through key plan comparisons—like HMO vs. PPO, deductible vs. premium tradeoffs, and prescription coverage tiers—so you don’t end up overpaying or under-covered. Whether you live in the city or spend time across the Georgia border, we can find options that work across state lines and make sense for your lifestyle.
Your Medicare Options—Simplified

Medicare Supplement (Medigap) Plans
Medigap plans help cover what Original Medicare doesn’t—such as copays, deductibles, and coinsurance. Plan G is a top choice among our Chattanooga clients for its predictable costs and nationwide acceptance. We’ll shop rates from major carriers and help you enroll during your six-month open window to avoid underwriting.
Medicare Advantage (Part C) Plans
These all-in-one plans bundle hospital, medical, and usually drug coverage into a single plan. Medicare Advantage plans often offer additional benefits like dental, vision, and hearing, but typically come with provider networks. We’ll ensure your local doctors and hospitals—like Parkridge or CHI Memorial—are in-network before you commit.
Prescription Drug (Part D) Coverage
Whether standalone or part of an Advantage plan, prescription coverage is critical. We'll help you find a plan with your medications on the formulary, minimizing surprises at the pharmacy.
Annual & Special Enrollment Guidance
We help you navigate Medicare’s Annual Enrollment (Oct 15–Dec 7) and guide you through changes, switching plans, or making your initial choices at 65. If you’re retiring, losing employer coverage, or relocating, we’ll walk you through your Special Enrollment rights.
Finding the Right Plan Starts With a Conversation
Choosing health or Medicare coverage isn’t just about premiums and deductibles—it’s about knowing you’re protected and confident in your care. From individual health plans to Medicare Advantage and Medigap, Patriot Insurance Solutions brings clarity and local experience to every decision. We proudly serve Chattanooga, Cleveland, Ooltewah, and communities across the Tennessee Valley in person at our office on Ringgold Road or over the phone no matter where you are!
Answers to Common Health & Medicare Questions
When can I enroll in Medicare?
You’re first eligible to enroll during your Initial Enrollment Period, which begins three months before the month you turn 65 and ends three months after. There’s also an Annual Enrollment Period (Oct 15–Dec 7) each year to make changes, and Special Enrollment Periods if you're retiring or losing employer coverage.
What’s the difference between Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage?
Medicare Supplement (Medigap) policies work alongside Original Medicare to cover out-of-pocket costs. Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans replace Original Medicare, often including drug coverage and extras like dental or vision—but they typically have provider networks. We’ll help you decide which approach better fits your healthcare needs and budget.
Do I need a prescription plan if I get Medicare?
Yes. Original Medicare doesn’t include drug coverage, so you’ll need a Part D plan (either standalone with Medigap or bundled in an Advantage plan). Skipping this can lead to penalties, so it's best to choose drug coverage at the right time.
Can I keep my doctor with my Medicare plan?
With a Medicare Supplement, you can see any doctor nationwide who accepts Medicare. With Medicare Advantage, you'll need to stay within the plan’s provider network. We make sure the plan you choose works with your preferred doctors and facilities in Chattanooga.
Do I need a medical exam to qualify?
Some life insurance policies require a brief medical exam, especially for larger coverage amounts. But there are also no-exam options available—particularly for term life and final expense insurance. We’ll help you explore what’s available based on your goals, age, and health.
